Cracking pizza at home

Pizza is a wonderful thing – when it’s good, it’s really good.

Trying to recreate it at home though, is tough – your oven just ‘aint gonna get hot enough. I’ve been playing with a method of recreating the volcanic heat of a pro pizza oven using every-day kitchen stuff and the time has come to unleash the method as my gift to the intertubes.

It’s all relatively easy – especially the actual cooking method – take a bit of time to get the dough right and you’ll be rewarded with awesome pizza for life.

Good luck!

What can AR learn from VR?

When I was at The London College of printing back in the early 90’s I spent a lot of my time and dissertations thinking and writing about Virtual Reality – it was gonna be the next big thing and, tied in with the web, was raising all kinds of social issues about who was going to police this new realm. It’s hard not to love it when you’re surrounded by awesome food and places to pop in for a cocktail or two and I guess the big difference with London (esp. in Manhattan) is that everything is so close together a which means literally every corner you turn presents another option for fun and frolics.

These pics I took sum it up for me: Read more…

Christmas music and film quiz

We had a Christmas party last week at The Paradise in Kensal Green (London) – awesome roast potatoes and wicked bread and butter pudding – but I digress.

I put together a Christmas music and film quiz to entertain the troops post turkey and it went down pretty well I think.

Continuing my Life magazine obsession, I’ve been working on a post (not quite finished yet…) covering some of the sublime car ads from the 70’s editions.

Rich with Mustangs, Caddies and a splattering of Euro and Japanese classics the ads look truly beautiful.
